Chief Patron Yagya Nepal

Chief Patron, Nepali Community Center

Originally from Sindhupalchok, Nepal, Yagya Nepal is a distinguished attorney and a devoted community leader whose commitment to service has left a lasting impact on the Nepali diaspora in Northern California and beyond.

Practicing as an Attorney at Law since 2010, Yagya holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. His legal journey began in 2001 in Nepal, where he served for several years as a practicing lawyer before continuing his career in the United States.

Since 2008, Yagya has played a vital role in the Nepali Association of Northern California (NANC), serving as an advisor and election commissioner over multiple terms. He now serves as General Secretary, bringing steady leadership and vision to the organization.

One of Yagya’s most significant contributions to the community came during the establishment of the Nepali Community Center. When the community faced a critical moment in securing the property, he stepped forward as a co-signer—assuming personal financial liability at a time when no one else was willing to do so. His courage and trust in the community made the dream of a permanent center a reality. In addition to this risk, he personally donated $35,000 toward the center’s purchase. In recognition of this profound generosity and leadership, NANC honored him with the title of Chief Patron of the Nepali Community Center.

Yagya’s dedication is not confined to local efforts. In 2022, he was appointed a member of the Judicial Committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), where he served a two-year term, advocating for fairness and good governance across the global Nepali diaspora.

Committed to education and social equity, Yagya also established a $300,000 fund at a school in his hometown of Sindhupalchok, helping underprivileged children access the education they deserve.

Through his legal expertise, selfless service, and unwavering support for the community, Yagya Nepal stands as a beacon of leadership, compassion, and dedication—a true asset to the global Nepali community.
