Anil Pandey is the first trustee of Nepali Community Center.

Anil Pandey, a respected Nepalese-American based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a shining example of how one individual can uplift an entire community through vision, dedication, and generosity. A successful entrepreneur, cultural advocate, and philanthropist, he has become a pillar of strength for the Nepali diaspora in the United States.

In 2016, Pandey made a landmark contribution of $25,000 as the first Trustee of the Nepali Community Center, becoming a founding force behind the dream of building a shared space for all Nepalis in the Bay Area. His leadership turned vision into reality—offering future generations a permanent cultural and social home away from home.

He also served as the First President of the Muktinath Temple in the Bay Area, playing a key role in establishing one of the most important spiritual centers for Nepalis abroad. Under his guidance, the temple has become a symbol of unity, devotion, and cultural identity.

As the founder of Motherland Nepal, Anil Pandey has led numerous impactful initiatives—from supporting earthquake victims in Nepal, to organizing humanitarian aid, to preserving language and tradition among youth in America. His foundation also funds an annual Gender Equality Journalism Award, backed by a 1 million NPR trust, recognizing Nepali journalists committed to social justice.

Anil Pandey’s contributions go beyond donations; he has given his heart, time, and leadership to empower the community. He is a voice for culture, a bridge between Nepal and the U.S., and an inspiration for Nepalis everywhere.
